V3.1 SoutronSOLO and SoutronGLOBAL coming soon

The new release of SoutronSOLO and SoutronGLOBAL being issued in March 2010 will see some sophisticated enhancements to further improve ease of use, the hallmark of Soutron's library management software.

New functionality continues to be added to both SoutronSOLO and SoutronGLOBAL as part of a continuing development program and commitment to improve LMS software for special libraries.

Version 3.1 is a significant release with all features and enhancements aimed at simplifying tasks, saving time and making the system even easier to use.  All features being introduced are a result of direct consultation with clients by Graham Partridge, R & D Director

Beyond improved system performance, key features include:

  • Serials Management has been simplified.  Significant time savings can be gained with the new 'fast-receipt' feature for receiving issues, and though tighter integration with other parts of the application.
  • Catalogue Management now allow chapters/articles/media clips to be catalogued & linked back to core bibliographic record.  Multi-volume cataloguing has been streamlined and record navigation is faster.  Improvements to Catalogue & Copy Management have brought about  greater flexibility, autonomy and control over the records. 
  • Reservations and request are more intuitive through the implementation of a new wizard.  In addition there is greater control and flexibility over request types and permissions, for example photocopies can be requested utilising legal disclaimers.
  • All outbound communications see enhanced rich text and HTML editing capabilities, as well as a Task Management and Scheduling System for greater autonomy and time-savings.
