Soutron Events - Meet Soutron

New release to feature greater display real estate, improved navigation, added API functionality, and latest security features.

International library, archives, information, and knowledge management solutions market leader Soutron Global announces that the company will be demonstrating their latest release at the Special Libraries Association (SLA) conference, the premier conference for the special librarian and information professional. The SLA conference will be held in Charlotte, NC July 31st – August 2nd in the Charlotte Convention Center, Hall A, Level 1. Soutron can be found at booth #103.

“I am delighted to confirm that Soutron will be attending SLA this year and invite SLA members to welcome our newest account manager, Jan Sheppard, to the special library industry,” states Tony Saadat, CEO of Soutron Global. “Jan earned her MLIS from the University of South Carolina and worked in libraries for several years before moving to the vendor world.”

“After working in support and implementation for library automation vendors such as OCLC and Dynix, I am looking forward to meeting with our Soutron clients and demonstrating the value Soutron provides to special libraries,” states Jan. “I enjoy working with librarians and archivists to help provide solutions that enhance the experience of library and archive users that they can be proud of.”

At the conference, Soutron will be demonstrating the completely reengineered Thesaurus module (Authority Control in the USA), which features greater real estate for searching and displaying information along with improved navigation. This new release promises to simplify workflows and reduce clicks while providing greater flexibility than ever.

Soutron’s new release also features an updated API which allows clients to use their own portal for library search access and metadata sharing with knowledge management applications used in other departments, enabling the applications to work in harmony with leading applications such as iManage, Thomson Reuters Legal Search Connect (Solcara) and many other Soutron software integrations.
