We are pleased to announce the latest software update to Soutron is now available, version 4.1.9.
This update includes many enhancements, new features as well as security updates and general improvements. This release also includes improved multi-device responsiveness throughout our Search Portal templates.
The latest updates and enhancements are the result of working closely with, and listening to, clients’ needs. As a result, we continue to provide a world class combined library, archive, knowledge, and information management solution.
Introducing the latest updates and features
NEW Auto Catalogue Import Module
Bibliographic record importing has now been migrated to the new admin application with new features like automatic copy creation and import history.
Orders Table now shown in the New Admin Record Edit Page (Orders Tab)
In the NEW catalogue edit screen the Orders Tab now shows current and completed orders for the current title.
Search Portal: Set a default search result view for mobile devices.
It is now possible to set the default search results template based on the viewers device. For example, you might use the grid layout for desktops, but for users searching on mobile or tablet you might wish to view using citation or thumbnail views.
This provides optimised and clearer search results for users, whichever device they use.
Search Portal: Media Player plug-in now supports Google Drive images.
It is now possible to present image collections stored on Google Drive in the respective records in Soutron. The images appear in our new Media Player plug-in in the Search Portal.
Search Portal / New Admin: Right-to-Left display now supported.
We are pleased to welcome clients that use Arabic and other RTL languages that are read from right to left.
The following functions have been redesigned and moved to the Admin application.
