Soutron Global Selected by National Institute of Economic and Social Research

Soutron Library, Knowledge and Information Management to be a Central Part of New Revenue Plans

San Diego, CA

International library transformation company Soutron Global announces the addition of National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) to their growing library and information management system client list. NIESR is based in London, UK.

Established in 1938, the National Institute of Economic and Social Research is a non-profit research institute whose research interests are constantly changing due to new needs, with their primary research needs being dedicated to policy formulation, research and analysis. The Institute’s work is supported by a 30-member research staff whose knowledgeable work product is influential world-wide, with subscribers to its publications in over seventy countries.

By selecting Soutron, NIESR has best positioned its library to meet the organization’s operational strategy of providing “a central source of timely, evaluated information to support experts and researchers of economic data.” NIESR staff is planning to offer external access to the Library Resources as part of a new corporate membership package, which will be launched in 2013. They see the Soutron system as an important part of these plans.

Patricia Oliver, Research Librarian, states that “Soutron understood our need to align the library with the changing business requirements. I look forward to working with Soutron’s very responsive team and tapping into their robust library and document management capabilities.”

Graham Beastall, Soutron’s Managing Director, says “I am delighted that Soutron was selected by NIESR to help them meet their information business objectives.”
